Cave Diving
Navy Island is the most suitable place for cave diving in Trincomalee.
There are two caves in this area, one is a small cave and the other is a big cave.
Beautiful coral reefs in clear blue water, colorful fishes and different marine life can be found in this area.
You can do cave diving in shallow areas of 6-12 meters. Diving here is not difficult.
Even people with basic diving knowledge can undertake it.
The first cave is the big cave.
One can enter through this cave and stand at one place to see all the shape of the colorful fishes beautiful mountain and come back through the same way.
Since there is no strong current and the water is clear, one can clearly observe the sea.
The second cave is a small cave. Its special feature is that you can go out through one way and exit through the other.
The way out is a deep area of 6 to 7 meters and a least pressure. The inlet is 9 m to 10 m deep and high pressure in water.
